I have self-taught programming by browsing web pages and carefully sorting out online courses and institutions providing it. Afterwards spent countless days just diving into course lectures, forums and trial and error. I would not say I have learned it. More like still learning. Programming world is ever changing. Learning is never completely over.

The total frustration of being unable to get something running correctly and then finally solving the puzzle. Priceless feeling.
