GreenCoast Hydroponics is hiring a Junior Web Developer to support our rapidly growing business. We are looking for a motivated junior developer to join our team developing and enhancing our web-based intranet systems. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and jQuery; a strong work ethic, great interpersonal communication skills, and high attention to detail. This position will begin with data entry work directly related to the programming projects you will be working on. You should expect 2 months of data entry work before diving into any major programming projects, although some smaller projects may be assigned to you during that time. This is a full time, on-site position in Long Beach, CA (no remote applicants).

Primary Functions
  • Data entry of new items and pricing updates
  • Data scrubbing and processing to improve and maintain database accuracy
  • Process all inter-store inventory transfers between all locations
  • Work closely with the Director of Technology on internal and external programming projects
  • Brainstorm, plan, execute, and monitor intranet system enhancements and applications
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to gather ideas and requirements for future projects
  • Perform creative work under tight deadlines, working independently and collaboratively to successfully manage concurrent and competing projects
Skills
  • Knowledge of PHP, MySQL & MSSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Typing speed 70+ WPM
  • Highly motivated, mature, reliable, and quick to learn
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to reason and think logically
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working on team projects and maintaining positive, productive relationships with coworkers
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to set priorities, respond to changes, and handle position demands flexibly
  • Optional: Degree or certifications pertaining to programming, earned or in-process
Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday

Pay
$16-$20 DOE
