Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Environmental reviews</li><li>State and federal regulatory program file reviews</li><li>Field investigations</li><li>Basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance</li><li>Performance of environmental due diligence projects</li></ul><p>We are seeking a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment with the following experience, skills and attributes:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science;</li><li>Experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) preferred;</li><li>Knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops) preferred;</li><li>Experience or knowledge of the evaluation of all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites;</li><li>Excellent writing skills required;</li><li>Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, and Mold Survey experience a plus;</li><li>NEPA experience preferred;</li><li>Be extremely organized and have great time management and multi-tasking skills;</li><li>Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels;</li><li>Willingness to travel if necessary;</li><li>Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and able to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff;</li><li>State regulatory knowledge is a plus;</li><li>Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work is a plus;</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Corel DRAW preferred;</li><li>Bidding and project cost estimation preferred;</li><li>Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification also a plus.</li></ul><p>AEI Consultants is an employee-owned international consulting firm that provides comprehensive services to commercial lenders, property owners, managers, tenants, and developers, industries, institutions, government agencies, and insurers, including many Fortune 500 companies.
