SDET - Software Engineer in Test Alpharetta, GA This is entry level position in Insurance Quality Assurance team, and responsible for development and execution of manual, automated testing solutions for web API. Candidate hired in this position works closely with software development, product management to understand, and apply manual, automation testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data. Position needs a candidate with basic programming knowledge, basic understanding of Software Quality Assurance & Testing processes, with prior knowledge in behavior driven software development, and testing including Black box/White box/Gray box testing, implementation of automated tests at the code level using Unit & Integration tests, etc. Insurance QA supports manual and automated testing solutions of many cross vertical solutions with multiple technology stacks in a fast-paced development, environment. Ideal candidate needs to be quick learner, experienced in front and backend processes development, and testing. The candidate chosen for this role will work alongside team members in a waterfall/agile environment and apply technical, analytical, and communication skills toward maintaining, improving, and automating high quality test cases. We are looking for keen problem solvers who can work in DEVOPS and Continuous Integration environment with experience in automation scripting driving efficiencies into day-to-day processes. QUALIFICATIONS: BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required TECHNICAL SKILLS: Programming Knowledge in Java/Python/SQL. Basic understanding of API based Test Automation experience Knowledge of RESTful or SOAP APIs manual and automated testing Knowledge in XML, Writing SQL Queries. Knowledge in Cucumber/BDD/Gherkin experience. Linux/Unix experience using command line functions to traverse through file system and experience using vi editor is a plus Knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) tools like GitLab, GitHUb, Jenkins, YML, terraform is a plus Knowledge and/or certification in CLOUD technologies like Azure is a plus Strong understanding of QA methodologies. Strong knowledge of process improvement Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and execute complex automated and performance testing.
