We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.</p><p></p><p><br>Peraton is seeking a junior Software Engineer to support the Peraton Team on the Application Arsenal (AA) program.</p><p></p><p><br>Peraton provides engineering services including architecture, software development, cybersecurity engineering, test &amp; integration planning, integration, fielding, quality assurance, documentation, and sustainment support of various Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) software applications and initiatives including the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEOC4I) Storefront (STFNT)/AA. This effort includes systems engineering, software development, and sustainment of these systems to allow their users to access, manipulate, and display relevant data for the users’ mission. Peraton currently provides support in the areas of system administration, cybersecurity, operations and maintenance, and the analysis, assessment, and transition of emerging technologies to support DoD other government agency applications.</p><p></p><p><b><br>What you’ll do:</b></p><p></p><p><br>The Software Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.</li><li>Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.</li><li>The ideal candidate would, along with regular tasking, research and proactively propose solutions that meet the demands of the warfighter. There are always new problems to solve and new, innovative ways to solve them!</li></ul>Qualifications:<p><b>Required qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM field; HS 6-8 or equivalent combined experience/education.</li><li>Candidate must be a US Citizen.</li><li>Active/Current DoD Secret or Top Secret (SCI eligible) clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days.</li><li>2-5 years demonstrated experience with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing software on non-Windows operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or macOS.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing with Gradle, Maven, or other relevant build tools.</li></ul><p><b>Desired qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Experience developing and testing Spring boot applications.</li><li>Experience developing and testing Angular or Vue applications.</li><li>Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Helm.</li><li>Experience with advanced container orchestration tools such as OpenShift, Rancher, or equivalent.</li><li>Ability to multi-task, be proactive, and thrive in a dynamic environment.</li></ul><div><b>Benefits: </b>At Peraton, our benefits are designed to help keep you at your best beyond the work you do with us daily.
