I’m a full-stack developer with a background in handling complicated insurance claims. I’ve developed a passion for learning everything about Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and MeteorJS and excited to implement my aptitudes in my future and career.

With a sports background, it is always important for myself to be a team player as this helps the team accomplish its goals. Especially in terms of web development where pair programming is something that benefits everyone.

I learned how to program in HTML when I was 12 years old. I used to make basic web sites on snowboarding and even my middle school website at the time. After college I wanted to get back into programming so I enrolled at Arizona State to study software engineering. I took a course on Java and I was hooked. To accelerate my career I studied at General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program to learn other languages like Ruby and Javascript. At GA I also built 4 web applications and other minor projects in 3 months.

Programming is very challenging at times and I really enjoy that. I often have times where the code is not working and I have to step away from the computer and think about it, then come back and solve the problem. The problem solving aspect is one of my favorite parts, especially after getting the code to work!
