Passionate about machine learning and language. I love to harness the power of technology to gain insights
about how people communicate. I have used my skills and passion to help develop novel methods of sarcasm
detection on the Internet as an Intern at the Baskin School of Engineering, and in my own thesis research
on Irish dialect classification. I currently use my time to provide the first online resource for the endangered
Yowlumni language at the Yowlumni Language Project.
I learned to program by taking on interesting projects and immersing myself in the documentation.
I love problems. That is, I love to come up with interesting solutions to unique problems. I'm
inherently curious and fiercely autodidactic. Programming allows me to solve problems and sate my curiosity--I believe you should never stop learning.
