I am a late bloomer when it comes to the programming world. I built a career in logistical management and IT. I always found myself drawn to the creative aspects of the digital world and wanted to make something. I took an opportunity to study web development at Vanderbilt University through a bootcamp and found that my draw became an obsession. I love the UI UX experience and even though I'm a little older than the typical junior dev I bring a passion for learning and a desire to create that comes from having a little more life experience. I have bachelors degrees in Art and Psychology as well a technical certificate for full stack MERN development from Vanderbilt. I love the front end and object driven programming. I'm currently sharpening my React, C#, and Vanilla Javascript skills but am very excited about learning new frameworks and platforms.

I attended a MERN full stack web development bootcamp at Vanderbilt University. I am currently applying to work for Trilogy education to keep my skills sharp and continue learning.

There's an amazing feeling in building a functional product from writing code. I've been mimicking my favorite sites' UI using CSS and HTML but learning the full stack and being able to incorporate functionality into the mix makes me feel kind of like a wizard. I wouldn't consider myself a hacker by any means, I'm a designer, a builder of experience, but being able to create even a simple a digital billboard for a friend or client and give it a purpose is just AWESOME! That's what I like most!
