My name is Christopher Murray and I am transitioning from a career in hotel management to technology. I quickly worked my way up from part-time breakfast server to hotel general manager. I enjoyed the pace and demands of the work, but something was missing. In 2018, I returned to school to update my skills.
I taught myself web design as a child in the early days of the internet (think GeoCities). It tapped into my love for practical problem solving and let my creativity flourish. I returned to school to get a foundation in modern internet architecture.
Programming is an intensely specialized skill. It sounds cheesy but it's like having superpowers. I love the idea of finding someone who has a vision and being able to walk them through a technical analysis of their idea and help them bring it to life.
