I am a CPA, aspiring professional software developer, and recovering fixed mindset-aholic. I love learning new things. It is what led me to start learn coding in the first place. I am admittedly "green," but I have never been afraid to put in the work necessary to find answers and push through obstacles to get a job done.
I learned to program through California State University Long Beach's/The Software Guild's online web development bootcamp. I am a hands-on learner, so the structured and project-focused format of a bootcamp worked well for me.
Seeing all my the lines of code come together for the first time as a working, functional application is my favorite part. For as long as I can remember, I have always felt most accomplished than when I have that tangible thing to show for hours of my hard work, (whether building with Legos as a child, or putting together IKEA furniture as an adult) and programming offers tons of those opportunities to build and learn new things. It is definitely frustrating at times, but nothing beats feeling you get after finally pushing through and solving a problem. It makes it all worth it.
