John Mudryk

I'm an emerging full-stack developer with a strong foundation in Java, JavaScript, React.js, and Lua, with a specialized interest in game systems and interactive software. I recently completed We Can Code IT’s immersive full-stack development bootcamp, where I gained hands-on experience building applications that combine front-end design with robust back-end logic. During my time in the program, I created several full-stack applications, including a children’s educational platform designed to make learning more accessible and engaging, and a video game collection management system with search and organization features. Currently, I am leading the development of a Warhammer 40K-themed addon for Garry’s Mod using Lua. This project features custom weapons and gameplay mechanics that interact with NPCs and players, and has reached over 2000 users in the past six months. Through this experience, I’ve honed my ability to integrate custom functions with existing systems and assets, while maintaining high levels of performance and user engagement. I enjoy combining creative problem-solving with technical skill to build software that is both functional and enjoyable. Whether it's developing educational tools or enhancing game environments, I focus on user experience, maintainability, and performance. I am actively seeking opportunities to contribute to innovative software projects where I can grow as a developer, collaborate with passionate teams, and build meaningful solutions that make an impact.

I started out with block coding at a young age, then eventually got into an intro to programming class in high school. I then took AP Computer Science. I then attended courses through We Can Code IT including a full-stack Java bootcamp.

It just makes sense. The computer does exactly what you tell it to. This can be a detriment sometimes, but I still enjoy that everything is structured. I also like the quick feedback that coding provides,
