Junior Front-End Developer with a passion for learning! My background includes 5+ years in UNIX Web/Application back-end production support, Oracle SQL, and technical Team Leadership and Mentorship. I strive to create ever-more elegant and functional code.

I just finished a 12-week immersive coding Bootcamp at The Iron Yard in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our focus was on Front End Engineering with emphasis on JavaScript, Es6, ReactJS, CSS3, and HTML5.

Prior to that, I've taken online courses (Team TreeHouse, Code Academy, Lynda.com, PluralSight, and others), attended local JavaScript meetups, and built a commercial site for a local business in CSS3, HTML5, and Angular(1.4.3). I did 1099 work for a local company, creating new sections for the site, and managing their content updates. I've also created self-hosted sites for small businesses in WordPress.

I also have a 4 year degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University in Denver Colorado (3.98 GPA).

Making things with code makes me happy. I love the challenge of solving difficult problems and coming up with elegant solutions to challenging requirements! I'm a tech nerd and I enjoy working with others who love working in tech. I love that there is never an end to learning about programming. There is always an opportunity to create and contribute to something new (or in a new way).
