Having worked primarily managing natural resources for the past several years, I'm excited to use my experience adapting to new careers and learning new skills in learning computer programming to begin a career as a software developer.
A year ago, I made the decision to pursue computer programming and began with an HTML and CSS course on Udemy. In March of this year, I amplified my learning 10 fold by starting a 40 week Full Stack Coding Bootcamp through Epicodus and will be graduating with my certificate in Web and Mobile Development in December. Through it, I have learned HTML, CSS, vanilla JS, jQuery, React.js, C# and .NET. And during my part-time full stack developer internship over the summer, I worked in a large codebase written in TypeScript and used Tailwind CSS as well for creating UI pages.
I like how dynamic the field of programming is and how many things you can do with it. I want to be a lifelong learner and be in a career that requires you to keep up to date with ever-evolving languages and frameworks.
