I have recently completed a front-end development course with Codify Academy in San Francisco. I am excited and eager to begin connecting people to people through the things I build.

Coding is a very powerful tool set with yet tremendous untapped potential. My educational background is in the critical thinking skill set of a Philosophy degree, and I have an established professional record in both the non-profit sector (social services) and service industries. Coding, Critical Thinking and understanding People - what drives them, what they want and what they need: all these experiences have married into unique insights epitomized in the code I write.

I'm ready to continue breaking barriers with code-writing and like-minded companies.

It has been such a fun adventure. First, I picked up a book someone recommended to learn Ruby, so I did that and discovered the bare bones with this - like what a command line was, or concatenation. After that, I did an intro course on Coursera for Python which I really enjoyed. The from January-June 2016 I attended Codify Academy for front end development. Every once in a while I attend a Women Who Code event, also. May the learning continue infinite loop style! (Funny? No? I can do better...)

Building stuff! I remember the first few programs I learned in ruby and python (10-20 lines each...) and it was incredible! Having a program where you could plug in information and have a computer spit out a response...it blew my mind. Then discovering HTML and CSS, plus JS to give it beautiful. dynamic interfaces. It's modern day, real magic!
