I am a motivated, resourceful individual with interest in cybersecurity seeking an entry-level software engineering position. I love all things technology related and I am always trying to teach myself new programming languages. I am also always trying to stay up-to-date with all events that are occurring in the realm of cybersecurity, whether it be following the latest data breach or reading up on a new method to combat threats.
I am a recent graduate of Boston College. During my time at Boston College, I majored in Computer Science and minored in Economics. Throughout my time at Boston College, I interacted with a multitude of programming languages, but the ones that I am most comfortable with are Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. Some courses that I had the pleasure of taking during my time at Boston College include Web Application Development, Object-Oriented Design, Computer Security, Database Systems and Applications, and Mobile Application Development for Android. I also had the pleasure of serving as a Teaching Assistant for the course titled Database Systems and Applications, where I was responsible for assisting the professor in teaching two sections of 40 students each, grading assignments on a weekly basis, and holding office hours to assist students in learning SQL.
The thing that I enjoy most about programming is the rush that you get when you finally complete a problem or fix a bug that you have been stuck on for quite some time. It is a feeling of excitement and pride that you just can't experience anywhere else. I also love the problem-solving aspect of programming and the ability to be extremely creative in your solutions to every problem that you face.
