I have spent my career exploring possibilities & learning everything I can. Each experience has taught me not only industry-specific skills, but also new ways of learning, of understanding other people & communities, & of seeing the world. I am pursuing programming because code is now what the world is made of, and I want to participate in building the future. I am excited to bring a growth mindset into my first coding job.
I came to programming out of a desire to create & learn every day. I am currently a full-time student in the Epicodus program, studying computer programming & web development. My focuses have been pair programming, html, css, javascript, C#, & React. Epicodus has been a whirlwind experience, and a joy to spend so much time problem solving & creating.
Programming is magic. You sit down to a blank document and you can create anything from an idle game to a program that translates whales. I am a creator at heart, so building and fixing every day is a joyful process, and one I take very seriously.
While I am passionate about user experience and design, I truly thrive on problem-solving. Whether I am working alone or with others, taking things apart and putting them back together better is something I have loved since I was a child unscrewing the sides of a toaster to try to turn it into a tiny spaceship .
After graduation, I intend to pursue a career where I have the opportunity to grow and help my company grow by digging into code and collaborating with other passionate, curious people who care about their work & about the world.
