Hello, I am Micah.
I am a Software Engineer with a passion for creating high quality applications. I really enjoy working with front end technologies like React to create scalable web applications but I also enjoy delving into backend work and creating API servers to integrate with my applications.

When I was in my early teens I was very much into a programming language called ActionScript. Over the years i lost touch with my coding side and ended up working in manufacturing for a long time. Eventually I decided that enough was enough and that got me back into thinking about coding. There wasn't much of an option for me as far as schooling goes for it so i thought I would try the self-taught route, while learning the basics myself I got an ad for a Online Coding school called Lambda School, which to my shock didn't require any money from me until I actually got a job. After doing some more research I decided to take the plunge and signed up, It was so much better than I had even imagined. I learned skills faster that I ever thought was possible, I learned how to work in teams, learned how to iterated quickly on a project and meet deadlines, how to talk about my code and most importantly I learned how to learn. I now have much more confidence in my ability to read up on documentation and start implementing new technologies rapidly.

What I love about programming is the problem solving, there is nothing more satisfying to me then finally finding the bug that was causing the app to break, I also love that while debugging and problem solving I am almost always learning new things, different ways of implementing something, different technologies that could be used to solve similar problems. The whole process of coding and debugging code is a very pleasant experience to me.
