Seeking a position combining my front-end development skills and background in Human Computer Interaction. I bring user focus, technical understanding, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented outlook from my years as a technical communications consultant and project manager.

My first introduction to programming was a unit on BASIC in my 4th grade gifted class. I've since taken computer science classes in high school and college. I took a semester-long full-stack web application development class in my Human Computer Interaction graduate school program. I completed Udacity's Front End Web Developer nanodegree and I am working on their Sr. Web Developer nanodegree. Along the way, I've kept with the industry through books and blogs and completing personal projects.

I enjoy the creative problem solving that is involved with programming. I love the combination of technical proficiency with design and sensibility to human factors that comes with developing user interfaces. Mostly, I love creating things that people can use and that will make their lives easier.
