Hi, I'm Steven Thate. I'm a self-taught web designer and developer. I enjoy creating designs that are better than the last design, and writing/refactoring modular CSS. The technologies I want to grow more in are Javascript and Rails.

I'm completely self-taught. I made video game fan-sites in high school and after I discovered that the four-year university track wasn't for me (I almost have a degree in history), I decided to start working on my most marketable skill: web design and development.

I like that it forces one to think about the end product, and how that product will be used by its end users. I enjoy the creative problem-solving, foresight, analytical thought, and user empathy it demands.
