Bringing an idea from concept to implementation is something that I take a lot of pride in, and becoming a Full Stack Web Developer has broadened my horizons. While participating in an intensive web development program, I immersed myself in coding for over 70 hours a week for 14 weeks. During the program, I gained strong fundamentals, practices, and was able to take my new found knowledge and apply it to fully functional projects within a short time span.
When I was a kid I would make websites for characters from TV shows using HTML/CSS I learned from a book. In college I decided International Studies as a way to get familiar with the global economy. I worked during the summers and learned to use Photoshop to create ads and maintain websites using more HTML/CSS. As I continued to work, I saw how companies were structured, how their assets would move around in a given week, and how these parts were used to create something else.
I began to realize that I always enjoyed fiddling with computers and building systems, which inspired me to get hands-on experience as a New Product Introduction Engineer. Here is where I realized that I really wanted to further my technical knowledge and dive into the world of web design which prompted me to enroll in Coding Dojo.
Building practical state-of-the-art applications is truly a passion of mine and my willingness to learn will continue driving me to absorb new technologies. I enjoy being challenged by my work, and more importantly, tackling obstacles with others.
I learned how to program at a 14-week intensive coding program called Coding Dojo in San Jose.
One of the things that I enjoy most about programming is its dynamic and ever changing landscape. It provides challenges that I enjoy tackling and allows me to bring ideas from concept to deployment.
