I enjoy tackling technical challenges, exhibiting emotional intelligence, and leading projects with empathy and understanding. I developed my spirit of service and collaboration through coaching youth sports teams and continued to develop my work ethic and leadership skills during my time in the Air Force. My background building jet engines honed a disciplined approach to problem-solving, but in an effort to find a field that promoted and valued continuous learning, I decided to transition to software development.
Code Fellows developed my abilities to rapidly learn new technologies, and I look forward to contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of the tech sector as a software engineer.
I enjoy the accessibility and constant challenge of programming. In order to learn the skill, I didn't need a gamut of tools in order to learn how to enhance this skill. All I ever need is a laptop and the occasional cup of coffee. I also love that every day is a challenge. I may be learning a new framework or language, or finding the most efficient way to write the code I already know.
